As the majority of boards on the day, there were great players in depth including those on Board 6 that saw Ryan Joyce edge out Callan Rydz to book his place in the last 8. There were big hitters falling at the first hurdle on all boards, and board 7 was no exception. Lastly, on board 8, James Forster dropped only 4 legs en route to winning his board, defeating young Scottish player, William Boland in the board final. As expected, it went the distance, with some fantastic darts on show.

Chris was the stronger on the day, edging out Ryan, to reach the stage semi finals. Another last leg decider, saw Forster defeat Stokell to set up a semi final against Dobey. With both players in fine form, the game produced some great darts. There were no legs thrown over 18 darts in the match, including a maximum from each. Overall, the Scot produced a fine display with a 91 avg including two 13 dart legs and two 15 dart legs to reach the final.

In the second semi final, Chris Dobey and James Forster were brought on stage. Chris Dobey proved too strong for James and defeated him with a 93 avg including 16, 13 and 14 dart legs. With both players good friends from the PDC circuit, we expected a great match. It was neck and neck throughout, until Ryan stepped up another gear including hitting 2x s en route to winning with a 87 avg.
