Week 15 NFL picks against the spread
Minnesota will go back to stuffing a lesser running game, while Xavier Rhodes will contain A. Cincinnati's former defensive coordinator, Mike Zimmer, will help make the seat under Marvin Lewis much hotter. Eventually, though, Matthew Stafford will get the ball in the fourth quarter with a chance to put it away, back in the confines of his home dome.
The Redskins haven't even had chances to win games in recent weeks. Everything is falling apart, led by both lines. Unfortunately for Arizona, it won't get away with near zero offense from Blaine Gabbert for a second straight week. The Ravens' defense didn't just struggle because it faced the Steelers.
There are some trickle-down issues in coverage, and they can be up-and-down against the run. The Browns are much better offensively with Josh Gordon than the team that lost in the previous meeting. Baltimore sweats out another division game but comes through with a late Justin Tucker game-winner to survive. Look who's back, back again. Aaron Rodgers was expected to get the news that he, his teammates and every Cheesehead in the world wanted to hear: He can start again. The Packers learned a lot about themselves with tough wins in overtime against Tampa Bay and Cleveland.
The defense and running game was clutch when needed. Blake Bortles is hot, and Leonard Fournette looks like himself again. The Jaguars are putting it all together at the right time, and "Sacksonville" will keep reminding us it's a legitimate threat to win the AFC.
The Dolphins have a workhorse back, too, in Kenyan Drake. The Dolphins have found a few more needed answers defensively, while the Bills can be vulnerable against the run. The Jets will be without Josh McCown. The Saints will be angry about not putting away from the Falcons on the road last week, and they will be ready to rock back at full strength after a long rest at home.
The matchups everywhere favor New Orleans, and this should add up to a rather Big Easy victory. Marcus Mariota is more banged up and less effective. While Prescott has battled through tough times as a sophomore, Carr, big contract in hand, has regressed. Matt Ryan and Julio Jones survived a bad game against the Saints thanks to the running game with Devonta Freeman and the defense with Deion Jones coming to life at the right time.
The Bucs have three chances to play big South spoiler, but they'll start with strike one. Start Slideshow Use left or right buttons to navigate. The most trusted voice in sports delivered straight to your inbox. Sign up now to receive Sports Illustrated's best content, special offers and much more.
